The Care Ritual
✨ The Care Ritual: Preserving Brilliance
Every Kohizen creation is a structurally engineered narrative of light, meticulously armored with our signature rhodium-platinum insulation. While highly resilient, maintaining the unblemished depth of demi-fine travel couture requires mindful preservation.
Treat your pieces with the respect they deserve, and they will brilliantly capture the light for a lifetime. Welcome to the Care Ritual.
1. The Daily Settling Ceremony
Traditional fine perfumes, cosmetic oils, and lotions contain chemical compounds that can slowly erode the microscopic seal of your piece's rhodium armor over years of contact.
-
The Ritual: Allow all fine fragrances, lotions, and oils to completely settle into the skin before releasing your Kohizen piece from its vault presentation case. Your jewelry should always be the last touch added to your look and the first piece removed at the end of the day.
2. Safeguarding the Armor (Wearing Protocols)
Chlorine (pools/hot tubs), heavy salt water, and the natural chemical shift of intensive sweat can create harsh conditions for any precious metal plating.
-
The Ritual: While resilient, preserve the rhodium shield by removing all jewelry during high-impact activity, swimming, or while enjoying spa facilities. We strongly advise against sleeping in your pieces to prevent accidental structural stress or friction against fine linens.
3. The Cleansing Ritual (Maintain the Depth)
Dust, oils, and the natural global transit environment can occasionally obscure the facets of your stone settings. Standard jewelry cleaners often contain aggressive chemicals; we prefer a gentle, appreciative touch.
-
The Ritual (Light Use): After global transit or an event, gently cleanse the piece using only the debossed signature micro-fiber polishing cloth provided in your vault case. Never use standard tissues or paper towels, which can cause micro-scratches on the rhodium seal.
-
The Ritual (Deeper Cleansing): If your stone settings require more attention, we recommend the gentle use of lukewarm water and a PH-neutral, unscented soap. Rinse thoroughly with clear water and pat completely dry with a soft, lint-free cloth. Never use ultrasonic cleaners on Kohizen pieces.
4. Studio Reserve Storage (The Vault Return)
Friction is the ultimate adversary of demi-fine longevity. Allowing pieces to jumble together causes micro-abrasions that can dull the plating over time.
-
The Ritual: Always return the piece to its micro-suede travel pouch or rigid vault presentation case when not in active use. Store all pieces separately within their original architecture to prevent any structural friction or gemstone-on-metal scratching.
Thank you for participating in the preservation of your collection.
